I just looped some ribbon through the wreath, knotted and then glued it to secure it. ![]() There is no right or wrong amount of ribbon, I just covered about a quarter of the wreath. I started with the middle piece of ribbon and worked my way out to one side first to figure out my ribbon pattern and then repeated on the other side. Step 3: Repeat step 2 until you’ve tied all of the ribbon onto the wreath. Half your first piece of ribbon (I started with my middle piece) and insert the folded end and pull through (you can use a small paintbrush to help with this as well), then pull the ribbon through the loops to make a knot. Step 2: I used the end of a small paint brush to create a gap in the wreath to have room to insert the ribbon. I used all tans and cream ribbon for mine. ![]() This one pictured was for a friend and her bedroom colors are blues and grays. I have a large supply of ribbon from when I made burlap hangers so I just used what I had. Step 1: Collect your assortment of ribbon. That being said, some of you asked for it, so here is my tutorial. This project was inspired by several different ones that I have seen and I just used supplies that I already had and decided to wing it as I go. Let me preface this blog post by saying that I am not the first to make doily dream catchers or even the first to use grapevine wreaths for them either.
